About Rinisha Tailor

I am a qualified social worker with over 15 years of experience in providing high quality care and support to people who are socially excluded or who are experiencing problems in their lives. I have a consistent track record of working successfully with individuals, families or groups, all within a variety of settings and a vast expertise by dealing with a range of cases. I possess an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation, procedures and techniques required and understand the importance of providing urgent and emergency responses to cases. I have a wide knowledge of social work principles, techniques and practice, their application to complex cases and am able to identify critical issues. I addition I am experienced in recruiting, managing, supervising and supporting a staff team. My role at Carter Brown has included being part of the management team, developing and delivering training in Safeguarding, Obtaining the Wishes and Feeling of Children, Completing PAR’s, Foster to Adopt, Writing Analytical Assessments and Connected Person’s Assessments. The training included completing direct work with children and effective tools to use when completing assessments. I provide case consultations on a wide range of assessments for Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists. Providing support and guidance on giving evidence in Court, as well as involvement in a project using VR in Fostering and Adoption Assessments. I am also part of the SME group. I have extensive experience completing a range of assessments, court reports, child protection procedures, annual home reviews and supervising foster carers. I am able to effectively monitor the progress of support packages on individuals. I have experience of working with people with learning disabilities. I have experience of setting up and managing a residential parenting assessment unit and was also a Register Manager of a Mother and Baby Fostering service. This gave me in depth knowledge and skills of how to develop and manage a service ensuring that a high quality service is provided. This led on to consultant work to provide independent parenting assessments and giving evidence in Court.
