About Rishabh Raval

Ever since I was a kid I always had a vim to know about wireless communication. I still remember the days when I used to sit right next to the phone, eagerly waiting for my dad to call while he was away on a business trip.When he could my mother, elder sister, grandfather and I would pounce on the instrument, to be first in queue to speak to him.Those days seem ancient now as cellular technology has become deeply embedded in the fabric of our society. As i went on to Pursue diploma in electronics and telecommunication it was almost magic to learn the concepts of various Communication systems. Securing 84.71% in my diploma helped me earn a seat at the ‘Thadomal Shahani Engineering College’. Here courses such as Analog and Communication systems, RF modelling and antennas, Mobile Communication and Wireless Networks helped me understand workflow of a signal from the point it is radiated into the atmosphere and received at the other end. During Practical sessions I have worked on Microcontroller Kits,Matlab,Cisco Packet tracer Netkit and Wireshark. And accomplished various courses on 4G LTE Network and 5G New Radio. Projects were an integral part of my journey. During my diploma final year I had developed a Computer Controlled 3-Axis drilling Machine which focused on the automation of the drilling process. It was recognised as the most innovative Project of the year and even won the First prize in the National level project competition which was held at Thakur Polytechnic on 4th march 2016.During My degree college days I have also worked on projects like IOT based Air Surfer and Energy Meter Analysis Using IOT. In addition to drive and passion,In order to make a meaningful contribution to this domain, it is essential to have in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in the field.My career goal is to work with companies like Verizon, AT & T, T-Mobile USA, Qualcomm, Ericsson, as a Wireless Research and development Engineer.I look forward to contributing to the latest technologies such as LTE Advanced Pro,Beam division Multiple access and Voice over WIFI. Towards this aim I would Like to pursue my Masters in Telecommunications to equip myself with managerial and technical skills in the telecom domain.Working as a Wireless Research and development engineer I want to focus on the research of Massive MIMO Communications,5G-New Radio,Milli-meter Wave propagation.
