About Rita Bove

I am at home in remote wild places, unpredictable weather conditions, and adventure in the truest, most trying sense of the word. I love a good challenge, have a level head and unfazed sense of humor, and claim grit paralleled only by grizzled mountain men, wizened by time and tribulation. At work, I’ve traversed sage dappled desert and high alpine wilderness with half my body weight in a backpack, searching for pieces of ancient worlds; spent countless days slipping through the forest, decked out with hard hat and cruising vest, talking to the trees as I mapped and measured them; and intermittently sat behind a desk, as well as a park entrance booth where I first experienced absolute freedom and joy in solitude while getting to know thousands of people a day. I face and embrace the world as it unfurls around me, and strive to exemplify passion, curiosity, and integrity within and outside of my work.
