Background

About Rita Maltez

I’m the Global President of Hearts On Fire, a contemporary fine diamond jewellery brand within the Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group. Since stepping into the role, I’ve led a full brand transformation - refreshing our identity and design language, launching new collections, and reshaping the organisation for long-term global growth.I’ve worked across the full luxury value chain - from upstream mining and midstream manufacturing to retail. This gives me a rare, end-to-end understanding of how value is created and delivered and allows me to connect product creation, brand storytelling, and commercial strategy in a unique way. What defines me as a leader is my ability to build trust across cultures, functions, and geographies. Leading a global brand within a Chinese-owned group challenges me to bridge not just markets, but also mindsets. It demands empathy, clarity, and strong relationships - and that's where I thrive.I care deeply about the people I work with, and supporting others to grow has been a constant throughout my career. Today, my focus is on leading with authenticity, scaling the brand and growing the people behind it.
