About Rita Steele

Climate change and sustainability professional and activist with over 10 years of experience working in sustainability with small and large organizations across the private, public and non-profit sectors. My work these days is mainly focused on decarbonization, climate resilience, and driving the collective effort to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees in a way that centers people and justice. I also have expertise, experience, and passion for ESG sustainability reporting, food systems, sustainable and responsible supply chains, the circular economy, corporate responsibility, and diversity in the environmental sector. I find opportunities to drive innovation and thought leadership in operational sustainability and climate change solutions. Encouraging rest and work-life balance are my career and leadership love languages.
