About Rita Walsh

I went to college evenings for accounting while working full time days as the assistant to the CFO of a manufacturing company. In my earlier years before meeting my husband I also worked as a waitress,hostess and a bartender, so I had all of the skills to successfully run a good restaurant.My husband and I bought, owned and operated 4 restaurants on Cape Cod, MA for almost 20 years. I did all of my own financial work along with running the front end. When we sold the restaurants, we retired and moved to Naples, FL. I came out of retirement to work for Hall's Group, doing all things financial for 3 restaurants, then I moved on to Handsome Harrys when it opened up downtown in 2006. When I left there, due to new management, after 6 years, I retired again. For a while. Then I helped a friend when he opened his restaurant. It was a temporary job to get his set up, but that lasted over a year. After 3 times, I finally retired to follow my dreams or writing novels. And I'm not done yet.
