About Ritesh Ghorpade

I am a skilled and concept-driven Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. graduate from the University of Central Florida, currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher leading various government- and industry-funded projects. My research primarily focuses on characterizing supercritical CO₂ (sCO₂) flows using advanced optical diagnostic techniques such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF), Schlieren imaging, and laser absorption spectroscopy.In addition to my core work on sCO₂, I have extensive experience analyzing the combustion kinetics of alternative fuels, including DME, methane-natural gas blends, ammonia-hydrogen mixtures, and more. Throughout these projects, I have applied and strengthened my computational skills using tools such as CONVERGE CFD, Chemkin, Python, and MATLAB.While I do not claim to be an expert in every area, my research journey has equipped me with a robust problem-solving mindset and the ability to approach complex challenges methodically and creatively. Working in diverse, collaborative research teams has sharpened my communication and leadership skills and deepened my appreciation for teamwork in achieving ambitious goals.Beyond academia, I have also gained valuable experience working in dining and liquor service environments. These roles instilled in me a strong work ethic, punctuality, business awareness, effective communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure, qualities I continue to bring into my research and professional collaborations.As I advance in my career, I am excited to leverage my technical expertise, research experience, and practical mindset to drive innovative solutions and contribute meaningfully to the field of energy and advanced flow diagnostics.I’m always open to connecting with like-minded professionals, collaborators, and industry partners.
