I have had the privilege of teaching Individuals & Societies and Geography to middle-year students (ages 12 to 16) and Environmental Science and English to Primary Year students. My love and passion for teaching and supporting students in their learning and growth process led me into this profession, and it truly brings me immense joy and fulfillment. Teaching has always been my calling, allowing me to foster inquiry, exploration, and a lifelong love for learning.Throughout my journey, I have taught across multiple curricula, including MYP, IGCSE, and CBSE, which have shaped my instructional approach and equipped me with diverse strategies to meet students' needs effectively. The IB curriculum, in particular, has transformed my perspective on education by emphasizing differentiation, scaffolding, and holistic development. It fosters creative, critical, and reflective thinking while nurturing morally and ethically grounded individuals.The IB framework’s innovative approach to teaching and learning has deepened my understanding of interdisciplinary connections, intercultural awareness, and global perspectives. Teaching IB MYP for nearly seven years has strengthened my expertise in implementing engaging and relevant learning strategies. Unlike conventional assessments, the IB approach prioritizes assessment for learning, as learning, and of learning, encouraging students to reflect, grow, and connect their learning to local, national, and global contexts.As an educator, I strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered. I consistently provide timely feedback and employ feedforward strategies to enhance understanding and encourage reflective learning. My commitment to holistic development extends beyond academics, ensuring students' physical, social, and emotional well-being, equipping them with the skills to navigate an interconnected world.In my additional role as Grade 7 (MYP 2) Homeroom Leader, I oversee the pastoral care of 74 students, focusing on their safety and well-being. This responsibility has deepened my understanding of students' diverse needs and strengthened my ability to support their academic and personal growth effectively.Learning is a continuous journey, and my passion for teaching inspires me to apply innovative strategies that make my classes engaging, enriching, and inclusive for all students including EAL and SEN students.
