About Ritwick Agrawal

Ritwick Agrawal currently serves as the Staff physician, director of the telehealth sleep program, and co-chairman of the sepsis task force at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran Affairs Medical center. He is a physician executive with a demonstrated history of operational leadership and innovation in large health system settings. Recognizing his leadership potential, the department of Veteran Affairs has selected him for the coveted Chief Executive Officer (CXO) Fellows' program. CXO program is a federal inter-agency professional development program that engages the next generation of national leaders in acquisition/procurement, financial management/budget, human capital, information technology, and data. Throughout the year-long program, CXO Fellows have the opportunity to grow professionally and build a diverse network of rising leaders across the Federal Government. Dr. Agrawal is internationally recognized in his field of medicine, and the American College of Chest Physicians organization has repeatedly invited him to speak in front of international audiences. He also holds leadership roles in this organization. He was also invited to write questions for the American Board of Internal Medicine, the physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties. His primary clinical research involves data science analysis techniques, including big data analysis and interpretation, natural language processing, and machine learning. He is the primary author of many high-impact peer-reviewed publications.
