About Riya George

As a Scientist in Early-Stage Formulation at BioNTech SE, I specialize in the design and optimization of manufacturing processes for RNA-loaded lipid nanoparticles. My work is focused on driving forward innovative drug delivery systems by developing a fundamental understanding of the colloidal and chemical stability of nanocarriers, particularly in the context of aging and formulation performance. I am passionate about developing innovative therapeutic tools and have a strong background in chemistry, nanotechnology, and drug delivery. I hold a PhD in Chemistry from Université Paris-Saclay, where I designed and synthesized novel nanoparticle assemblies that displayed high therapeutic activity and multimodal imaging capabilities. I received the Erasmus Mundus scholarship and two other awards for my academic and research excellence. I am proficient in various laboratory techniques, such as TEM, dynamic light scattering, NTA, and analytical spectroscopy, and have excellent skills in drug encapsulation and delivery analysis, data treatment, and scientific writing. I have taken interesting courses on project management and Lean Six Sigma and enjoy planning, organizing and managing several projects and collaborations. I am on the lookout for exciting opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
