About Riyad Rahimullah

I am passionate about discovering new knowledge through empirical research. I’ve always wanted to make a difference. I decided to become a researcher as I knew I can make a more unique and meaningful contribution this way. My zeal to unearth new insights led me to complete an important, mixed-methods PhD study in the area of violent radicalisation. I have since conducted research for a not-for-profit as well. I also teach university students how to conduct research. I serve as a tutor on topics covering qualitative research, quantitative research, data analysis and psychology. Research experience & output: I personally managed 2 research projects encompassing literature reviews, research design, survey development, data collection, data analysis and dissemination. I’ve presented research at 4 conferences, written a PhD thesis and internal reports, and authored/co-authored 4 journal articles. Teaching experience: I have taught psychology at the Univesity level for 11 years. This has mainly focused on research methods and statistics, but also in other areas such as social and cognitive psychology and research supervision. My experience has enhanced my analytical mindset, having marked assignments in my teaching career.
