About Riz Adhima
I am a qualitative researcher and practitioner with expertise in participatory action research methods including immersion research, rapid ethnography, focus group discussion, transformative storytelling, participatory video, photovoice and people-driven design. I hold a master in Participation, Power and Social Change from the IDS, University of Sussex, UK, and has ten years of experience in leading field research and training programmes in six countries. I am a founding member and a Senior Researcher for Empatika Research and has extensive research experience (40+ projects) about health and nutrition, children and youth development, and climate change adaptation across Indonesia. I also co-led field research in Cambodia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Ghana as well as facilitated hybrid training in other countries.
