A leader of major programmes and chartered civil engineer with 30 years of professional experience, I specialise in development, delivery and transformation for complex and politically sensitive programmes and projects. Experienced in multiple sectors of infrastructure and the built-environment, sustainability, transportation, energy and water. Specialist advice and consultancy: I have advised on major programmes throughout the UK and globally, including the Houses of Parliament, Lower Thames Crossing highway scheme, the Dutch high-speed railway, HS1, London’s Crossrail, the Thames Tideway Tunnels, a UK Nuclear Power Station, an International Airport Development in the Middle East, and the Dutch Congestion-charging scheme. I work with Government, regulators, investors and supply-chain to deliver their programmes, with particular focus on ethical and whole-of-life programme objectives. Strategic Programme Planning: establishing vision and definition of successful programme outcomes. Market analysis, capability assessments and appraisal of strategic options. Securing programme funding and commercial agreements. Enabling executive alignment and collaboration. Programme delivery: mobilisation of delivery organisations and governance, enabling stakeholder and community engagement, assessing supply-chain arrangements, leading transaction advisory teams and programme management teams. Project, operational and asset-level support: managing programme recovery, assessing organisational break-downs and approaches to re-organisation, review of asset operations and management, regulatory and in-programme improvement assessment, performance efficiency review, skills development and training/leadership effectiveness.
