About Rob Bateman

For over twenty years and across three continents, I've immersed myself in the world of live events, broadcast, and video production. I’ve worn many hats, from crafting stories and editing videos to managing complex projects and studios. While living in the UK, one of my highlights was collaborating with the Institute of Directors to deliver high-profile keynote speaker presentations. I also contributed to numerous award shows, producing and delivering them across Europe. More recently, I've worked with some of Australia’s most loved and iconic brands, creating broadcast advertising content for TV. When Covid struck in 2020, I chose to focus on my family, ensuring stability and assisting my two young children in their academic progress. This reignited my passion for learning and development, leading me to pursue the Training and Assessment qualification at Melbourne Polytechnic. Currently, I'm working as a technical producer for DDI, assisting in virtual classroom facilitation. DDI, a global leader in leadership development, has introduced me to well-established, scientifically-backed methods and techniques to effectively train and develop adult learners. In my free time, I cherish time with my family and I love to be on the water. Embracing growth and challenges, I recently trained as a skipper with the Royal Yachting Association. This year, I achieved a long-held dream: navigating the Bass Strait, renowned as one of the world's most treacherous bodies of water. One day I’d love to circumnavigate the globe, but that's another story. I'm actively seeking a collaborative environment where my skills and expertise can truly shine and add value.
