About Rob Brewer

Rob Brewer is the President and CEO of PUC Services Inc. PUC Services manages electric and water distribution systems in Sault Ste Marie and Northeastern Ontario. Rob has utilized his extensive leadership and business experience to help build a culture of innovation within PUC, benefiting both customers and shareholders. Since joining PUC in 2018, he has introduced a Smart Grid system that, once implemented, will be a first of its kind for Canada. The modernization of the electricity grid, currently awaiting final regulatory approval, will result in significantly improved system efficiency and reduce power outages. In 2020, Rob and members of his team, accepted the Customer Service Award at the Electricity Distributor Association’s gala which recognizes excellence within the industry. The award follows PUC’s implementation of a number of new customer service initiatives. In 2019, he also led the expansion of PUC Inc.’s water services portfolio with the acquisition of Northern Waterworks Inc, a move that increased shareholder value and positions the PUC group of companies as the largest service provider of water and wastewater operations in Ontario. Before joining PUC, Rob was the CEO of Wilderness Environmental Services, a vegetation management company he established in Sault Ste. Marie and grew into a successful North American business with 165 staff throughout Canada and the United States. Rob has worked actively within the Ontario trades system including serving on the Board of Governors for the Ontario College of Trades and serving as a Chair of the Utility Arborist Industry Committee.
