About Rob Broere

The airline industry has been with me since the day I was born as my parents both worked for KLM. It is my hobby and passion and always open for a new challenge as long as it is right. I have chosen the area of Passenger IT as the area where I have made my career. My goal is to be a key part of the success of any company by ongoing look at ways how I can exploit my experience to create better and more efficient ways how to handle our customers. Between 1995 and 2013 I managed the PSS systems for Emirates and as well 7 other airlines under the Mercator brand, leading a team up to 250 people. Apart from running PSS In my role at Emirates until 2020 I was active in various IATA committees including as joint co-chair of the IATA Simplified the Business (StB) Steering Group and Think Tank is all about to redefine how airlines interact with their customers through common standards. This is long over due. IATA NDC, One Order and OneID programs that are the key areas that impact the passenger experience and airlines to become real retailers were created by this group. This reflects the passion I have for the future. I also reflects that the airline industry is overdue for a massive shape-up in the passenger processes, which I believe will happen between now and 2030. Specialties: I am an all-round airline industry expert who can contribute in a wide range of topics. Passenger IT (Reservations, Check-in and Passenger processes) is my core area but it extends way beyond to flight operations, commercial, and airline general management. I have now entered a phase in my life whereby I am keen to transfer the 40 years of experience I have gained to help Airlines and (Start-up) IT companies to let them achieve their potential. For airlines to review and/or define their Passenger Process strategy including Biometric processes as well as looking how best to use PSS systems or define a PSS strategy For IT (start-ups) companies to contribute to their success through advisory role and/or board membership.
