About Rob Burns
After completing a one-year, non-renewing contract in the Aberdeen School District as a CTE-Technical Arts/Publications teacher at Miller Junior High School, I am currently looking for a new job and continue my journey as a teacher/educator. I left my first career in newspapers in 2017 to obtain a CTE teaching credential (Route 2-Industry) and I bring more than 25 years of experience in communications, media, journalism, business technology, business communications, communication technology, photography and graphic design to the classroom. I am also a high school swimming coach at Aberdeen and just finished my seventh year as the head coach of the boys program. I have experience coaching in swimming, football, baseball/softball and soccer. I believe students who have experience with technology, communications and visual arts have a stronger foundation in their career skills toolkit once they leave high school.
