Currently working as an Education Consultant. Former senior roles include: Senior Manager for the NZ Ministry of Education supporting the roll out of changes to enhance the NCEA senior secondary qualification; Principal of 4 schools - two in NZ, one in Kenya, and one in Singapore - spanning K - 12 education; and lead advisor supporting the planning, start up and establishment of ACS Jeju international school in South Korea. Experience with NZ, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge IGCSE curricula and assessment. Former positions include: Principal, ACS (International), Singapore (a secondary school offering both IBDP and IGCSE qualifications); Head of School, Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, Kenya (IB World School, Grades 1 – 12), and principalships of Linwood College, Christchurch, and Temuka High School, both in New Zealand; co-director of Connections HR Ltd, a leadership and recruitment agency; mentor / advisor to principals, senior staff and Boards; appraiser of senior staff; and two separate roles in the NZ Ministry of Education - Senior Manager NCEA Change Programme and Chief Advisor for the Youth Guarantee initiative which aimed to increase the number of secondary students gaining formal qualifications through their participation in meaningful vocationally-oriented tertiary pathways. Skills and experience include change management, strategic planning, leadership coaching and mentoring, appraisal, career planning, recruitment, business-oriented educational leadership, international education and vocational pathways.
