About Rob Chursinoff

I have been working in media since 2011. While employed with Global News BC, Red Bull Media House, Upworthy, and Matador Network I have been an award-winning producer, script writer, director, video editor, writer, and voice artist. With Marble Media and their series for Discovery, titled A Cut Above, I worked as a Story Producer, writing interview questions, interviewing contestants, and tracking their story arcs throughout the 12-episode series. As a Digital Content Producer with Upworthy in their collaboration with GoFundMe I created short-form videos, wrote articles, and crafted social media posts to heighten brand and campaign awareness on various social media platforms. As a producer at Matador Network, I worked in tandem with the social media team creating videos geared for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. My video edits have been viewed tens of millions of times. In addition, I wrote journalistic, branded, and tongue-in-cheek travel articles, and aided in the organization of workflows. As a highlight I produced, directed, and video edited an African American travel series for YouTube called Phil Good Travel, which has garnered hundreds of thousands of views, and a Lowell Thomas award for Best Travel Video. In the varied roles that I've embraced throughout my career, I've gained expertise in a large cross-section of the digital media industry. On top of displaying strong technical proficiency with content creation platforms and software such as Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, and Photoshop, I would consider myself a people person and a strong team collaborator with an open communication style. I believe in making clients and coworkers feel heard and valued. What I enjoy and seek in my life, I bring to my work. Both are infused with a deep regard for adventure, outdoor exploration, social justice, the environment, world travel, music making, and human connection.
