About Rob Dollars

I used to be a lawyer, but I got better. I am the Employee Experience Manager for Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV), a developer of luxury resorts in Breckenridge, Colorado. I've had various titles and roles since joining BGV in 2015, but my core responsibility remains championing our uniquely positive culture. I have redesigned the company’s orientation program, developed a learning curriculum for company leaders and a self-development program for our not-yet-leaders, helped revamp the BGV leadership coaching plan, established our Recruitment Task Force, spearheaded improvements to our performance review process, and contributed to BGV’s annual Leadership Summit. In March 2023, I was selected to lead BGV's newly-formed Employee Experience team, part of our Community Impact Department. We are responsible for recruiting, onboarding, talent development, employee engagement, as well as BGV's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Everything we do supports BGV's Triple Bottom Line: People, Planet, Prosperity. I am a member of BGV's Lead Team, a group of senior leaders who serve as a resource for our executives. In 2022, I earned designation as a Marcus Buckingham Love + Work Leader. I am a good evaluator and synthesizer of information, as well as an engaging speaker and teacher. I enjoy using humor to deliver a message effectively. I wouldn't kid you about that. In 2018, BGV was named by the Denver Post and Energage as the #1 large workplace in Colorado based on anonymous survey feedback from our employees. In 2023 and again in 2024, we were recognized as a national Top Workplace by USA Today. I am energized by supporting BGV’s over 650 employees as they fulfill our purpose,"Sharing Smiles!" Originally from the Midwest, I am a graduate of the University of Texas Plan II liberal arts honors program. I earned my J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and practiced in Austin until 2009. I was among the first group of lawyers to achieve board certification in Texas workers’ compensation law. I left Texas due to legal trouble. Specifically, after more than 20 years as a litigator, I was having trouble remembering why I wanted to be a lawyer. Since moving to Colorado, I have been a small-business owner, a guide for historic saloon tours and snowshoe hikes, and a Whole Foods Market team member. I serve on the Board of Directors of Breckenridge History, our local historical preservation organization. My wife Tracy and I live in Breckenridge with Macy, an energetic shelter rescue dog, and Oberon, a fancy-pants Ragdoll kitty.
