About Rob Fletcher

Working my way up the journalism ladder, I began my career with a series of work placements in newspaper, radio, TV, and online journalism. The last in this list introduced me to my first job as a freelance sports journalist for the BBC Sport website. I also undertook a placement at Sky News - from which I was offered further freelance work at Sky Sports News. I then moved away from freelance to become editor of Print Monthly, a B2B magazine for the print industry. The role also included the presenting of online news bulletins, reporting from events and the position of deputy editor of sister publication, SignLink. I then opted to set up my own freelance journalism business, Fletcher Media Services. I currently write for a number of publications, agencies and companies including Print Monthly, SignLink, Squires Media, M.D Fletcher Ltd, sports sponsorship and television news websites, and a gaming industry-focused website. I have also written for Wolverhampton Magazine and Awayday Football. I have a general interest in all forms of journalism so am always looking where industry is moving and what the next move could be.
