About Rob Gillis

I am a graduate of the University of Arizona who is currently pursuing a career in medical research. I began my career as a Medical Assistant at Camp Lowell Surgery Center in 2015, where I honed my skills in patient care & project management. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Science in 2020, and since then have been working as a Clinical Research Coordinator II at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. I intend to pursue a Master's Degree in the near future, and am primarily interested in opportunities in Behavioral Health research. My career study focus has been psychology and behavioral health, with several years of hands-on experience in medical facilities. In my current position, I have worked on many Phase I & II pharmaceutical trials in a variety of body systems. I am also assisting in an effort to revise and adapt Work Practice and Standard of Practice documents for the cancer center as a whole. I am always looking for opportunities to provide meaningful & positive change in healthcare. My work with the cancer center has inspired me to pursue additional areas of medical research, and I hope to apply excellent care and detailed organizational skills to a cause that can improve lives around the world.
