About Rob Hill

I am an experienced Insurance professional with experience of working in the Broker, Insurer, Insurance Manager (Client/Buyer) and Loss Adjusting arenas. I have cross-class exposure to many aspects Insurance from relationship management and business development to operational management, quality assurance and most recently as an in-house Insurance Manager, gained during over 20 years in the industry. In my current role, I am responsible for managing the policy placement/renewal process across multiple lines of business, tightly controlling costs. My remit also includes broker appointment/review, broker & /or Insurer tenders and the review of insurance contracts. In addition I oversee the claims function and handle large losses, manage surveyor'adjuster appointments and tightly control indemnity spend. I have responsibility for budgeting and managing the risk register in addition. I am experienced in Account Management and Client Relationship roles, managing high profile relationships, and I am comfortable being the focal point for clients. I have broad experience of multiple classes of business in both the UK and globally. I have handled high value Liability and Property Claims, and acted as the ‘in-house’ Claims Manager for Corporate clients. Additionally, I have experience of managing Claims on an outsourced basis across Property, Liability and Motor classes ensuring TPA compliance with SLA’s, fund review and allocation, setting audit programmes and carrying out audits. In the majority of my previous roles, I have managed, mentored, trained or assisted junior members of staff on processes and procedures or technical issues, and am comfortable acting as a referral point. I have broad operational experience, and am very focused on delivering excellent service. Finally, I have been involved in several new business projects, from completing the PQQ/RFI, through to creating tender documentation and presenting to prospective clients.
