Throughout my career, my professional development has grown as I have constantly opened myself up to new experiences, systems, processes and people. By allowing myself to do this I have gained insights from a range of diverse cultures, professions and institutions from which I have been successful at passing on to colleagues that have in turn shaped the policies and systems within my own workplace. As I see networking with other professionals as a necessary tool, I am always looking for new opportunities in which I can enhance by knowledgebase an skillset. Whether this is done through my place of employment, or during my own free time, I constantly seeking out and committing myself to new ways in which I can increase my capabilities. I believe that the more professionally developed we are as information professionals, the better positioned we are at providing and facilitating our individual services to the public.
