I'm a high capacity professional with years of experience successfully managing client and stakeholder relationships in gov-tech and politics. I lead clients and teams by listening, setting realistic expectations and by identifying and implementation solutions and follow-up strategies. I work at Envisio Software Solutions, where I help customers execute strategic plans and track their performance. I worked with Peak Democracy Inc, acquired by OpenGov, helping government clients design and deploy custom online civic engagement solutions using Peak Democracy’s innovative web-based engagement platform Open Town Hall.I apply my values in work, lead by example and with effective communication, and motivate myself and others with a positive and pragmatic approach. I value transparency, directness, honesty, diversity, respect, creativity and humour. I believe strongly in contributing to community, sustainability and empowerment. And, I’m strategic - I plan my work and work my plan.Previous career segments include work as a senior political organizer, community planner, and founder of a landscape design and nursery business. In my time off I love backcountry backpacking, food, gardening, reading, and woodworking. I’m originally from beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
