About Rob Kruger
Rob has worked in healthcare and education for over 35 years and simulation for the past 16 years. As a critical care nurse Rob provided and directed care in a tertiary teaching Intensive care unit. In Rob transitioned from bedside nurse to educator and began teaching at British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby BC. As an educator at BCIT Rob has taught in the clinical setting, facilitated online and classroom learning including simulation experiences, extensively written curriculum and designed learning environments. Rob was a central member of the School of Health Sciences’ Educational Readiness Team that assisted in the design, technology implementation, medical equipment purchasing and training for the new square foot Health Sciences Center at BCIT. This new center is one of the largest in Canada and supports learning across 28 different health specialities. In addition to his experience Rob holds a Masters in Education and Education Technology, is an Apple Distinguished Educator and was nominated as Simulationist of the Year in 2018.
