About Rob Longo

A self-proclaimed jack of all trades, master of none, I believe that good journalism is the basis of all great broadcasting. Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, I am the proud grandson of steel mill workers that took pride in their work. The work ethic they instilled in me at a young age allows me to bring a blue-collar mentality to a white-collar industry. My journey in broadcasting has taken me up and down the east coast. Starting off in the Pittsburgh Metro area, announcing high school and college games, while also producing at 93.7 The Fan, the flagship station for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pitt Panthers. From there, I migrated south to North Carolina, taking a studio host position with Learfield while taking a chance on myself by maintaining three other jobs to make ends meet. That experience led to a quick shift to the NBA level, currently working with the Charlotte Hornets. In addition to my work with the Hornets, I also freelance for several local colleges and universities, including Davidson, Gardner-Webb and Winthrop.
