About Rob McCorkle

I am a scientist and healthcare professional with 15 years of experience in precision medicine, pharmacogenomics, and drug development. My work has focused on biomarker discovery, PK/PD modeling, and clinical research, helping to translate novel treatment strategies from the lab to the clinic. Growing up in Kentucky, a state with some of the worst health outcomes in the U.S, I’ve been driven by a personal mission: to help turn the tide against chronic disease through innovative, personalized treatment approaches. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and researchers to advance molecular diagnostics and targeted therapies. Along the way, I’ve authored 35+ peer-reviewed publications and editorials, identified key drivers of treatment resistance in cancer, developed an epigenetic biomarker assay used in oncology and kidney disease, established analytical SOPs and conducted PK analysis for nearly a dozen clinical trials, and mentored the next generation of scientists and clinicians. Now, I’m seeking new opportunities to drive precision medicine forward—whether as a scientist, advisor, consultant, or liaison in molecular diagnostics, pharmacogenomics, or clinical development. When I’m not in the lab or analyzing data, I’m spending time with my family, catching live music, or enjoying some much-needed laughter at a comedy club. I’m also an avid sports fan. You’ll often find me cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, Memphis Grizzlies, or Big Blue Nation.
