I am a dedicated, engaging, creative and result-oriented professional with experience in innovation, R&D, project management, new business development, communications and branding. I am driven by working with multidisciplinary teams of professionals, developing and building on the individual strengths, and steering towards achieving challenging goals. About me Having worked in various positions in R&D, Innovation, and Business Development in the Food Industry, I have developed a wide skill-set enabling me to bring value at different stages of the product development and valorization process. Expertise & Track record • Over 10 years of experience in R&D Project Management and (Open) Innovation Management • Successfully delivered project objectives for a variety of customers, internal and external • Provided in-company training on Project Management • Line management experience, heading a team of R&D Project Managers • General R&D and Science Management • Branding and Communication Background I obtained my Ph.D in Molecular Genetics in 1996 and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Groningen, University of Washington (Seattle) and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam before joining DSM in September 2001. After holding various R&D positions, I was appointed Project Manager for the Enzymes and Ingredient Development clusters at DSM Food Specialties. Between July 2007 and September 2013, I was Program Manager Innovation and Sport within DSM Innovation Center and responsible for our sport innovation and branding program with the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF), InnoSportNL, and other sports organizations and individuals in the Netherlands. In October 2013, I was appointed Senior Project Manager within the DSM Biotechnology Center, responsible for the early development phases of enzyme products for the Dairy, Baking, and Beverages industries. Since 2019, I held the position of R&D Manager, responsible for the daily execution of a portfolio of R&D projects to develop products and solutions for our customers in the Baking and Beverages businesses at DSM Food Specialties. Part of the latter additionally included the ad interim position of Innovation Manager Beverages.
