Rob Meissner has over 30 years of experience identifying business opportunities and developing the strategy and execution to take advantage of those opportunities. His successes have spanned disciplines from finance to operations to marketing and in companies spanning start-ups to large multinationals. “Go to Market” Strategy - At InterWrite Learning, grew revenue from $0.5 to $50 million over a five year period by developing our international product and marketing strategy to penetrate the education market for the company’s line of interactive hardware and software products and related services. In this role, I developed a strong brand message that was consistently executed through various marketing communications vehicles including brochures, fliers, direct mail, advertising, sales presentations, trade-shows, and the web. Financial Management - Restructured the financial reporting system of a non-profit to provide greater visibility for future cash flows. Allowed the executive director to focus more on expanding the number of clients served. Operations: Transformed the business model for delivering memory upgrades at Compaq Computers. The program would deliver nearly half the profits of the company. Product Management: Have led cross functional teams in multiple companies to identify, test market and launch new products; reposition existing and underperforming products; and to identify new markets, both from a target industry and a cross border view. Have extensive experience using the customer discovery process to ensure a good product/market fit and a compelling value proposition.
