About Rob Miller

Rob Miller was the 2008 and 2010 Democratic nominee for South Carolina’s 2nd congressional district. As a candidate, Rob raised over $3.5 million, and he uses his data-driven methods to improve the finance efficacy of other Democratic candidates. Rob continues to be engaged in Democratic politics by consulting on fundraising and national security issues with Democratic members, candidates, and campaigns at the local and national level. Rob is also a United States Marine Corps combat veteran with over 20 years of active and reserve service. As a Marine Corps infantry officer, Rob twice served in Iraq to include combat operations during the Battle of Fallujah in November 2004. Rob’s experience within the infantry, both active and reserve, has taken him from rifleman to company command to battalion executive officer for 1st Battalion 23d Marines in Houston, Texas. Rob’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device (‘V’ for Valor with Gold Star), Navy Unit Commendation (X2), and the Combat Action Ribbon. Rob pursued undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina and graduate studies at Norwich University. Rob is a Political Partner with the Truman National Security Project and a national speaker for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Rob resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife and two children.
