About Rob Omlor

I have a diverse work experience. Currently I work for Intuit supporting TurboTax as a team lead and licensed tax expert. Prior to this I lived in Portland, OR for 7 years prior and worked for a sustainable urban delivery company which does delivery of items ranging from food, to office products on large tricycles. Here I not only did the delivery, but I also held a sales position building our business as a recycling back-hauler for many downtown and close in Portland businesses. In conjunction to my current job, I am self-employed as a licensed tax preparer doing personal income taxes for over 50 clients. I learned this trade while working for the IRS, which I did when I first moved to Portland, Oregon in 2008. Prior to moving to Portland, I spent five years doing real estate financing in Los Angeles. The first three years I was working for the bank ING DIRECT, first originating home loans, and then as an Assistant Manager of a home loan sales team. I made the transition into commercial real estate financing at Venture West Funding where I originated apartment and commercial loans on the team of a founding partner and principal of the company. My real estate loan experience was expanded when I worked for a Fannie Mae loan servicer as a loan modification closing and funding specialist. I have become adept at dealing with difficult customer issues, working with numbers, and maintaining confidentiality. My work experience has taught me to take initiative, make decisions and assume responsibility. I have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
