About Rob Owen

Rob has worked in the nuclear field since the early 1980s. Through Rob worked as a nuclear power plant engineer and consultant in operations, regulatory matters and litigation support. He spent a decade at S.A.Robotics, providing BD and project management for the supply of robotic and custom equipment for D&D in Commercial Nuclear and other tasks in hazardous environments. Rob is currently the Commercial Category Leader for PaR, responsible for all crane and hazardous environment projects at PaR. PaR’s equipment is used worldwide, with typical applications being US DOE sites for both operations and clean-up, US DOD sites for chemical demilitarization efforts, Commercial Nuclear D&D, and nuclear testing and fuel processing operations in Japan and the UK. Rob was also the PM for the cranes supplied for the New Safe Confinement at Chernobyl, where PaR has delivered the cranes and tool deployment platform for this massive environmental clean-up project and also for another project delivering a custom crane system for spent fuel retrieval at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Mr. Owen holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and resides with his family in Shoreview, Minnesota USA.
