With a joystick in one hand and a sketchpad in the other, Rob Parsons—aka The Edutainer—has been blending creativity, code, and charisma for over four decades. He first discovered the power of programming at age 11 on a TI-99A (yes, he’s that OG), and he hasn’t stopped creating since. Whether he’s building websites, animating graphics, coaching, or teaching the next generation of designers, Rob brings his signature mix of energy, empathy, and experience. A Multimedia Technician for 30+ years and an educator for over 25, Rob has taught everything from HTML and WordPress to Photoshop and customer service, reaching thousands of students both in person and online across Canada. He’s led design programs, developed entire curricula, and even launched his own creative ventures—from comic book companies to interactive apps. His work has been featured nationally, and his creative fingerprints are on everything from children's animation pitches to Mi’kmaq storytelling shorts. But Rob’s not just about pixels and pedagogy. He’s coached wrestling, judo, and basketball for over 15 years, channeling the same passion and mentorship into every arena he enters. A lifelong artist (drawing since he was three), a gamer at heart, and a lover of all things multimedia, Rob knows that the best learning happens when it’s fun, practical, and a little bit unexpected.
