About Rob Pass

Scotland based archaeologist but have worked the length of the UK. After spending a few years in commercial archaeology with many projects and sites under my belt, I briefly transitioned into the heritage tourism sector before returning to the field. Returning to the commercial archaeology industry has allowed me to use my qualifications and experience in a way that can contribute to Scotlands story. Taking time outwith fieldwork to build upon my engagement and communication skills has provided me with fresh insight and helped me to reestablish my own values. I have applied these to both my offline and online archaeological outputs and strive to continue to make archaeology accessible. This is done both professionally and is also at the forefront of Pictish Memes (which I co-founded in 2019) and other public facing opportunities I have created. Having taken a hiatus from Pictish Memes, I have been working on a solo project on TikTok and focusing on continuing to grow my archaeological project management skills with the goal of continuing to grow these skill sets in a way that they compliment each other.
