About Rob Paterson

My family and I have decided to move back to Ontario, Canada to raise our family. This obviously entails finding a new position of employment but I've learned a so much since moving to the US in 2012, I'm looking forward to see how I can positively impact my next organization. Fishing, boating, hunting and the sporting goods industry are my personal passions as well as where I've had the most experience professionally. With that being said, with my varied background & experience I realize that by asking the appropriate questions and by utilizing my unique skill set I will be effective in almost any industry. Here's a quick synopsis of "who I am" based on"what I've done"-volunteered at the Toronto Sportsman Show at the age of 14 - washing and waxing boats so I could "pay my dues" & learn from all the sales people -graduated from Sporting Goods Business @ Fleming College on the Deans list - fished bass tournaments for 15 years across North America -learned and worked in the customer service field with Umbro Canada (soccer company)-acted as a Territory Business Manager for Old Port and Colt Cigars around Toronto -managed the footwear, softgoods and hardgoods departments at the Cobourg Sport Chek -Territory Manager for Maurice Sporting Goods looking after the Greater Toronto Area - Moved to the US to become an Associate Product Manager of Fishing for Big Game International (Brand examples - Celsius Ice Tackle, South Bend, Matzuo, Apex, Mudville Catmaster & private label)- Was transitioned to the Product Manager of Marine (Shoreline Marine, Propel Paddle Gear & private label)- Product Marketing Specialist - Evinrude There were many other influences that drove me to where I am today but looking back the drive to succeed since a young age has propelled me farther than I could have dreamed!
