I love the “lightbulb moment” — that feeling you get when you’re tackling something for the first time and it clicks into place for you. It’s so satisfying. I’ve felt this in my creative outlets: Nailing that guitar lick after hours of practice. When the new disc leaves my hand and flies exactly the way I wanted it to. Discovering a path to victory in the board game I’ve enjoyed but struggled with. Helping turn on that lightbulb for my retirees is just as rewarding in my work as a Human Resources Specialist with the IRS. Whether it’s explaining confusing jargon so it makes sense to them, easing their anxiety as they reach their retirement date or assisting veterans seeking to get retirement credit on their military service, I want the retirement process to be as stress-free as possible. As I look ahead, I’m excited to bring that same clarity-driven mindset to new challenges outside of the federal government. I’m seeking mission-driven work in Human Resources, where I can continue helping people make informed decisions and navigate complexity with confidence.
