About Rob Ruggles

I was fortunate to grow up in South Burnaby to parents who instilled a strong work ethic and great values. Originally, I was drawn to a career in accounting but while still in school I constantly applied to London Drugs. After applying every week my persistence paid off and I got a job stocking shelves. This was a great place to work and allowed me to keep taking on more responsibilities. This part-time job which I took to pay for school became a 27 year career much of it as a store manager and occasional facilitator for the training department. My first experience with IG Wealth Management was as a newly married 22 year old client. The Consultant started us on the right path and coached us along. This allowed me to semi-retire at 43 years old. After a month of semi-retirement I realized it was way too early in life for retirement. As luck would have it my IG planner was sitting down with us. I explained what I was looking for; challenge, growth, an opportunity to help others all while enjoying a great lifestyle. He suggested I come in and meet some people around the office and I realized that this was exactly what I was looking for. I joined IG Wealth Management as a Consultant, moved into the Division Director role 2 years later and along the way obtained my CFP designation. I truly look forward to each day whether I am coaching clients or Consultants. I am looking forward to many more years of helping all of the people I work with to succeed.
