About Rob Travers

Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved drawing. It was the main driver to what I would do for a living. When I was younger, I was going to be an architect. I’d also considered careers as a medical illustrator, industrial designer before deciding on graphic designer. My career path has taken me down a few different avenues from there: freelance designer, senior designer, design manager, intranet design manager, art director and creative director. In those capacities, I’ve had the opportunity to experience so many things: led multiple teams in some major re-branding, won a few awards, gave a keynote speech at a conference in San Diego, launched some game-changer initiatives in communications, provided business strategy consultation. Although my current job is less about art and design than it once was, I still need to have my creative and artistic outlet. Our lives get busy with our careers, family and maintaining the house, it gets difficult to take the time to paint. That’s where my iPad comes in. Now I can paint even if I only have 15 minutes.
