A recognised, influential and awarded investigations leader with distinct investigative capabilities. Rob was attached to the elite Serious and Organised Crime Directorate of the New South Wales Police Force Australia. Persistently called upon by senior management and peers to lead high profile, sensitive protracted investigations. A proficient investigative expert providing evidence and prosecuting criminal matters in the Supreme, District and Coronial courts of Australia and South East Asia. Rob undertook 24 years specializing in serious organised crime and corruption investigations, including leadership roles as Investigations Manager, Fraud & Cybercrime Squad. Previous leadership roles included the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad - Australia. As the Team Leader and officer in charge of Australia's largest specialist, Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, Rob implemented structural and management reform within his squad, that is now recognised by the Commissioner of Police, as resulting in the overwhelming and record breaking increases in arrests and conviction rates of serial child sex offenders. 2015 Rob joined Deloitte South East Asia, based in Jakarta Indonesia, driving the firms rapidly growing forensic investigation capabilities and multinational client base in the region, before moving in 2017 into a senior Deloitte leadership role in Singapore as Asia Pacific Director, Forensic Investigations, Financial Crime and Misconduct. In 2020, Rob joined BHP’s Global Ethics & Investigations Team, Individually responsible for leading and responding to all BHP’s active whistle blower and internal investigations, including the ongoing reporting obligations to BHP’s Board of Directors and Risk Audit Committee. At BHP, Rob led the global Ethics and Investigations restructure and was appointed BHP's Manager, Response & Investigation, leading a team of over 100 investigators across Australia and Asia. Rob's team was responsible for the investigation and management of the most serious and egregious workplace investigations, involving senior stake holders, including Asset Presidents & Mine General Mangers. Rob was Individually responsible for over internal whistleblower investigations per year, including Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, bullying, corruption, bribery, fraud, racism and discrimination, conflicts of interest and retaliation, for the world's largest mining company.
