About Rob Zukowski

Rob Zukowski received a degree in Occupational Studies from the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences in New York and his New York State Massage Therapy License in 2014, He also has a Massage Therapy License in the state of Florida as of 2021. He holds the national examination credentials from both the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (MBLEx) and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). In 2020 he completed certification in COVID-19 Training for Healthcare Workers, Leading Healthcare Quality and Safety, and COVID-19 Contact Tracing. Rob is certified as both a Medical Massage Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist, and provides other essential modalities such as Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Swedish Massage, Respiratory Massage, Five Element Shiatsu based Acupressure, Foot Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Ayurvedic Cranial Massage (Shiro Abhyanga). His hands-on experience includes working in a variety of medical settings, chiropractic offices, corporate settings, fitness centers, the spa industry, and wellness centers. In addition to his hands on work Rob has worked as Lead Massage Therapist since 2015, a Client Services Manager and Spa Office Manager since 2016, a Corporate Relationships Manager, April since 2015, and most recently began a role as the COVID 19 Health and Safety Guidelines and Protocols Administrator. Rob has been a featured speaker at the Arthritis Foundation’s Mind/Body Symposium at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, given several lectures on Massage Therapy, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and Self-Care at NYU Medical School and is member of the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences Massage Therapy Student Career Development Panel. Rob was also a staff writer with his own recurring column on the subjects of self-care and complementary and alternative medicine for the HIV/AIDS community.
