Certified Clinical Perfusionist and former Registered Respiratory Therapist with a demonstrated history of providing care and educating in the healthcare industry. Skilled in the conduct of Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB), Adult/Pediatric ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Adult/Pediatric Critical Care, and Adult/Pediatric Respiratory Therapy Management. Experienced in the management of many Medical Devices such as Heart Lung Machines, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Mechanical Ventilators, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), Electronic Charting Systems (Epic, Viper, and Quantum), AutoTransfusion Devices, HiPEC Therapy, etc. Extensive experience in training healthcare professionals (including various students, RNs, RTs, PTs, CCPs, CES-As, NPs, and MDs) on ECMO therapy and CPB techniques using high fidelity Clinical Simulation nationwide for Comprehensive Care Services as well as on the NYP-Columbia University and Orrum Clinical Analytics Simulation Center campuses. Currently serving as the Director of Simulation Education Professor for the Lawrence Technological University Master's in Cardiovascular Perfusion education program in metro Detroit, MI. Strongly driven in the development of healthcare leadership skills with previous roles as the AmSECT Board of Director's Student Liaison from 2014 - 2016, Chair of the AmSECT Student Involvement Committee from 2016 - 2020, and Co-Chair of the Student Involvement Committee until 2023. Previous education background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree focused in Perfusion Technology from Medical University of South Carolina and an Associates of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy at Pitt County Community College.
