Obsessed with the role of land/location in our economy. I started my master's in Urbanism and Spatial Planning after deciding to dedicate my time to the land question; on top of this, I finished an additional master's in Policy Economics. Meanwhile, I work as a consultant at Valuebase, a pioneer in real-estate mass-appraisal techniques. Together, we work on the accuracy of property taxes for American counties. On Saturdays, I teach programming to kids. I have very broad interests, which enable me to always find interesting solutions. My master's thesis in Urban Planning and Spatial Planning (researchgate.net/publication/383562833) is titled "A Location Tax for Ghent" and analyses the possibility of implementing a tax shift from real estate to location value. I created a location value model for Ghent and used the results to make a prediction of how the tax shift would work out for different economic actors. My master's thesis in Policy Economics (researchgate.net/publication/392587823) builds on top of this, researching more advanced statistical models for assessing land values.
