About Robbert Mannak

My name is Robbert Mannak, I have studied Mechatronics at The Hague University of Applied Science in Delft. Mechatronics is a combination of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science. The focus lay on automation, robotics and control technology. Since September 2018, receiving my bachelor of science degree, I started a new challenge at SEW eurodrive. As a Sales Engineer Motion Control, I consult with costumers about the application and requirements for their industrial machines. Helping costumers with engineering and finding solutions in driving technologies is very rewarding and describes my personality very good. I am interested in innovative techniques in smart autonomous systems, while keeping it understandable for a wide range of people. During my study, I have done multiple things I very pleased with- Six-month internship at a German company (thesis and general talking in German)- Represented my team at an international conference about Electro Active Polymers, applied in our lightweight climbing robot- Engineered an autonomous tomato recognize and picking machine in Finland- Designed my own actuator in a very small size (ᴓ 3,5 by 10 mm) as a final thesis. My technical skills are CAD drawing (Inventor, SolidWorks), Python, C++ programming. For my current job I learn a lot about (A)synchronous motors, servomotors, frequency controllers. machine communication and CRM SAP. Furthermore SEW eurodrive is an international company which adds to my vision of an international community.
