About Robbert Redert

As a multidisciplinary artist Alumni, having worked in music and theatre I am a creator at heart. After finishing my degrees, I found myself behind the sewing machine for the first time at Levi Strauss. I was able to not only work with people, but giving back in repairing and tailoring to their needs too. The next natural step, while following my new passion for quality product and service led me to Tenue de Nîmes in Amsterdam. Here I developed my skills as a manager, assisted in buying, and opened up the brand’s first ever Tenue. store in the city. In late 2023 my desire to create took over and with all the prior experiences in mind, I decided very intentionally to start a new chapter at Akademie Vogue. In order to develop and refine my skillset by studying fashion design with a focus on pattern making and production. In early 2024 I’ve started arcé studios. The brand’s focus is to create artful garments, made to last hand-made of dead stock and vintage fabrics. As a designer at WE Fashion I work with my team to create a denim / non-denim collection inspired by the past but just as relevant in today’s modern day. With excitement and passion for the product group we will focus on bringing fabric interests and sustainability within the category to create newness in the season. Next to heavy woven bottoms, I also design casual and smart shirts and occasion styles like suits.
