About Robbert Scott

My real full name is Robbert Everett Keith Scott; however, I often go by the stage name “REK” which stands for Robbert Everett Keith. I have written songs and pursued a career as a recording artist and audio engineer since a very young age. At Ten years old I bought my first condenser microphone an AT2020 and began recording using an M-Audio Mobile Pre USB interface and Cool Edit Pro software. Over the years I began developing as an artist and progressing as a songwriter. At thirteen I had my first radio single “Shawty’s A Keeper” which played across California. By fourteen I had been gradually improving my studio equipment, software, and skills as an engineer. I spent all of high school writing and recording my music in my home studio. Releasing five official LP’s “My Introduction”, “Lost”, “Trapped In My Own Mind”, and “S.O.U.L,” “Getting To The Love” while releasing over two hundred songs as singles over the internet on various websites. I was born and raised in Humboldt County,(Eureka, California) but moved a lot growing up only to return to Humboldt later and leave again shortly after. I moved to Mesa, Arizona at 18 years old to go to The Conservatory Of Recording Arts & Sciences which I am currently attending. After college I plan on further pursuing a career with an internship at a recording studio while continuing to freelance. I hope through music I can change the world and better the lives of people on a major scale, but am satisfied every time I hear someone say that something I worked on helped them. I am grateful for any support I receive and blown away by the way my life has come together. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
