Current Final Year Student at Heriot-Watt | Master of Arts (Hons) in Accountancy and Finance As an accounting student with hands-on experience in the financial services sector, I bring a solid foundation in financial principles and a growing passion for accuracy and integrity. Currently, I work at Capital Credit Union, where I support daily operations and contribute to maintaining high standards of member satisfaction and constant compliance with FCA and PRA regulations. Working in a regulated environment has sharpened my attention to detail and strengthened my understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and internal controls. It has also allowed me to further develop the knowledge base which I have developed and grown throughout my studies in a real-world environment. I’m developing a strong foundation in core financial principles including financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and corporate finance. My academic journey has not only sharpened my analytical and quantitative skills but also deepened my understanding of how financial systems operate within businesses and regulatory frameworks.
