About Robby Jones

As an Associate Scientist at AbbVie, I work within the immunology and immunosafety group, applying four years of industry experience to support the development of safe, effective therapies. My role focuses on immunoassay design, data interpretation, and translational insight to ensure therapeutic candidates meet rigorous safety standards. I bring a deep commitment to advancing science through collaboration, precision, and innovation, driven by a mission to help get better treatments to patients. I earned my Master of Science in Pharmacology from the University of California, Irvine, where my academic training emphasized drug discovery, receptor pharmacology, and experimental design. My capstone project integrated research methodology, therapeutic targeting, and scientific communication. Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a minor in Biophysics at Chapman University in 2021. There, I researched under Dr. Ogba in the oMo lab, using computational chemistry to investigate the molecular properties of tyrosine kinase inhibitors. My academic and research experiences have shaped a career grounded in curiosity, technical skill, and a passion for driving innovation in medicine.
