About Robert Adelman

Thanks for visiting my profile. My career has been shaped by a wide range of experiences—from military service to public leadership—and each chapter has taught me something invaluable. After high school, I served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. That experience honed my discipline, determination, and leadership skills. The wartime environment enhanced my ability to multitask and perform under extreme pressure, skills that have been invaluable throughout my career and personal life. I spent eight years in the Rent-to-Own industry, where I sharpened my skills in management, customer service, collections, and sales. Then, over two decades ago, I found my calling at the Duval County Property Appraiser’s Office. I started as a Field Evaluator and worked my way up to Field Operations Division Chief. Today, I lead a dedicated team responsible for inspecting over properties across Duval County—Florida’s 9th largest parcel count. We handle residential and commercial inspections, manage permits across Jacksonville and its surrounding municipalities (including the beaches and Baldwin), and conduct quinquennial reviews to ensure fairness and accuracy for our taxpayers. Public service means a lot to me. It’s where I get to lead with purpose, work alongside great people, and help make a real difference in our community. Outside of work, I enjoy expressing my creativity. You’ll often find me diving into Photoshop projects, mixing music, or battling it out in video games with my three sons. I’m also incredibly passionate about animal rescue, dedicating my time to saving and finding homes for as many furry friends as possible. I have significant leadership and team management experience, as well as a strong history in residential and commercial construction. With a strong foundation in leadership, construction, and team development, I’m always open to connecting with professionals who share a passion for growth, service, and meaningful work.
