About Robert Atwell

As the Director of Operations at Ernest D. Menold, Inc, I oversee business operations that specializes in custom metal fabrications and HVAC sheet metal installations for various industries, such as pharma, power, chemical, and food processing. With over 30 years of experience in the HVAC and metal fabrication field, I have extensive knowledge and skills in design build, design assist, integrated project delivery, BIM modeling, 3D solid modeling, and plan and spec projects. I also hold multiple certifications from the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB) and the Fire Life Safety (FLS) program. My core competencies include process improvement, project planning, project control, and lean principles. I lead the project execution and management for design assist and IPD projects and portfolios with values exceeding $30 million, delivering quality results on time and under budget. I also assist in overseeing the company operations, management, and business development, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and values. Additionally, I serve as a member of the SMACNA HVAC Steering Committee and the Contractor Operations Task Force, contributing to the advancement and innovation of the HVAC and metal fabrication industry and I also serve on the International Training Institute steering committee to support the modernization of sheet metal apprentice training curriculum.
